CHA & U.S. Soccer Foundation Accepting Applications for 2009 Planning Grants
The US Soccer Foundation, the Major Charitable Arm of Soccer in the U.S., and CHA Sports, the Foundation’s Partner for Soccer Facility Design and Planning Services, are pleased to announce that the Foundation is accepting applications for 2009 Planning Grants from eligible soccer clubs, municipalities, schools, and other organizations seeking to develop master plans for their proposed soccer field projects.
UPDATE: Stimulus bill has been signed!
On February 17th, the President approved and signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The bill includes:
- $50 billion for energy efficiency & dev. projects
- $27.5 billion for highway/bridge construction
- $8.4 billion for mass transit/commuter light rail
- $1.1 billion for airports
- $4 billion for wastewater treatment systems
- $2 billion for drinking water projects
- $900 million for environmental projects
